Abbotsford Preparatory School in Urmston is thrilled to announce the release of its school magazine, a collaborative effort of the newly established Journalism and Writing Club, where children from Year 1 to Year 6 come together to produce this creative school magazine.

This dynamic publication captures the essence of our school community, featuring engaging interviews with students and teachers, insightful opinion pieces, and comprehensive news coverage, including highlights from various school clubs such as sports, debate, critical thinking, handwriting, mindfulness, and art club.

“In leading Abbotsford’s Journalism and Writing Club, I’ve witnessed the incredible creativity and dedication of our students firsthand,” remarked Mrs. Rey, Journalism and Writing Club Leader. “This magazine serves as a platform for their voices to be heard, showcasing their talent and passion for storytelling.”

Highlighting the vibrant spirit of our school community, the magazine also spotlights a special feature on the eagerly anticipated Mary Poppins musical, presented by our juniors at the Fuse on 20th and 21st March. This production embodies the collaborative and creative ethos that defines Abbotsford Preparatory School.

Furthermore, children have actively engaged in seeking support from local businesses to offset printing costs, exemplifying their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the project’s success. Companies such as Visions Design, a digital marketing company based in Lymm, have generously contributed to our endeavor, further strengthening ties within our community.

“At Abbotsford Preparatory School, we are dedicated to nurturing not only academic excellence but also a sense of community and collaboration,” stated Mrs. Howard, Headmistress of Abbotsford Preparatory School. “This magazine exemplifies our commitment to empowering our students to explore their interests, express their ideas, and contribute meaningfully to our school community.”
