A new Farmfoods store could soon be operating from Broadheath if plans are approved by Trafford Council.

Farmfoods are looking to move into a unit on Atlantic Street where United Carpets operated from, which will have 964 sq m of overall ground floor space with 781.5 sq m of retail space.

Having a store like this would be a great addition to the retail offering in the area and beyond, the great value it offers will go down well with many people.

The application goes into why it should be approved in great detail from nearby stores and sequential test.

Much needed jobs will also be created if the store is given the green light.

Maybe one or two questions will be asked about the transport situation however nothing much will change and won’t cause any further problems for the road network, HGV’s delivering stock will not cause any noise issues for people living nearby.

Farmfoods used to have a store in the then Sale Square Shopping Centre but moved out due to the size limitations, moving into the unit on Atlantic Street is way bigger and perfect for Farmfoods.

We expect this application to be approved when its looked at sometime in May 2024.

You can see the full application on the Trafford Planning website using code 113169/FUL/24
