Police were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a man on Queens Road, near Urmston Meadows on Saturday 6 April 2024 at around 3.30pm.

A big build up of Emergency Services were seen by witnesses on Saturday which included under water teams looking for the man, a tent was also seen.

Sadly, officers found a body of a 23-year-old man yesterday morning (Sunday 7 April 2024). His next of kin have been informed.

Officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident.

Enquiries remain ongoing.
