PM Rishi Sunak’s plan to help get people to stop smoking and to make sure kids do the same and unable to buy them has taken a step closer after winning a vote in the commons.

Whilst it was a huge victory many of his MPs objected which was yet another slap in the face for the Prime Minister.

In the long debate MP’s were heard talking about the statistics and what smoking does to people and what vaping might do to people but! they have no data on vaping so are they all saying ‘Anyone vaping is a guinea pig?’

The stats though are hard to deny with over 80k people dying from a smoking related illness, the most amazing sentence though came about in the commons when one MP said “Its not about freedom of choice its about freedom from addiction

Many people start out smoking or vaping because of pressure from family members or friends although it is believed a minority will have decided for themselves to take up the habit.

According to research those smoking will die 10 years or more before their time due to illness, for those on class B drugs mixed with tobacco will be much earlier and likely get psychosis which if untreated will turn into a serious mental health condition, its shown smoking cannabis has 4 or more times the tar of a normal cigarette.

Addiction is the issue for people and this is what the government needs to tackle, throw the money at it, and many more people will quit and save the NHS a fortune and more importantly save lives.

The ban on smoking bill will go to the next stage which will also pass to become law likely with some amendments, this will mean anyone born after 2009 will not be able to buy cigarettes or vapes.

Despite this new law we feel it will not work since older people will buy it for them, the vapes ban will work once kids see the ones in use today all flavours and bright colours will be gone, however nicotine is according to one MP the most addictive drug in the world, will they be able to cope with the withdrawal?
