This year will be one of the best ever for all sports fans

This year 2024 will be one of the best years for all sports nationally and internationally with the climax of the Premier League, FA Cup Final to look forward to with the hope of another Manchester derby.

Locally we will see the Great Manchester Run on May 26 and June 6 the Tour de Britain (Cycling) women’s event takes place with Stage 3 starting in Warrington on 8 June and Greater Manchester on 9th.

Euros start June 14 and the Tour de France starts on 29 June and before you know it the 24/25 Premier League season will kick off which will be 17 August, the community shield will be 10 August.

Wimbledon will start on 1 July for Tennis fans and the Olympic Games will start 26 July.

We understand the men’s Tour de Britain will run this year likely to be in September although no routes have been confirmed and if you are into American Football the NFL starts 7 September.

The Manchester Half Marathon will be in October

In between other running events will be taking place and big cricket games which we are sure you will agree is one mega year for sports to keep you entertained.
