Extension to be built for changing rooms at Cross Lane Park in Partington

An application has been submitted for an extension next to changing rooms next to Cross Lane Park in Partington.

If approved the plans will bring much needed improvements including the addition of 20 changing rooms and shower including disabled access and facilities.

No changes will be made to the boxing gym.

Once these changes have been made we expect the trim trail on Cross Lane Park to be ripped out and grass laid for the new season and new football pitches created making Cross Lane Park almost a centre for football rather than a park which locals are used to.

Although we have not seen the plans for the car park it is hoped it can be resurfaced as its in a shocking state.

Parking will become a real problem in the area around Cross Lane Park which will cause local people significant access problems which local councillors and Trafford Highways must address in the coming months.
