A man has been fined £400 for dumping rubbish on a street in Old Trafford.

Trafford Council’s Environmental Improvement Officers were alerted to the waste dumped on Norton Street in Old Trafford on April 2, 2024. An investigation was launched and they identified a man from Manchester as being responsible.

The man attended Trafford Council HQ in Old Trafford and was interviewed under caution about the dumped waste. He admitted he was responsible for dumping some of the rubbish and was issued with a £400 fixed penalty notice.

Cllr Stephen Adshead, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Environmental Services, said: “We will not tolerate fly tipping in Trafford and will continue to come down hard on those who dump rubbish in our borough. If you are caught fly tipping in Trafford, we will take action against you.”
