A gigantic 20m 5G mast could be built soon if Trafford Planning Committee approves the plans.
The huge O2 mast location is directly opposite One Stop on Moorside Road on the side of Trafford General Hospital and oddly right next to a pedestrian crossing.
Having a mast that big right next to a hospital and nothing anywhere near as big will be overly dominant and where its located on a busy path right next to a pedestrian crossing will mean this mast should be refused for siting and appearance.
With the factual health impacts from 5G frequencies having any mast outside a hospital is very inconsiderate.
Councillor Maitland who is a Labour councillor in the Davyhulme ward said: “Have any nearby residents or the hospital been consulted on these proposals?
“My concerns would be around the antenna and the cabinets taking up space on the very busy footpath, but residents living over the shops and in the bungalows and houses opposite, might not be happy having to look at the antenna as they look out of their windows.”
Mast firm Clarke Telecom have listed a number of cell sites that was discounted due to a number of factors, this spot was it seems the best location for the mast to go up for them which for everyone else we think it will be objected in a very big way.
You can object to this mast by going to Trafford Council Planning Portal and entering the application reference 113974/TEL/24
