Third child dies in horrific knife attack in Southport

News broke just before midday on 29 July 2024 that a man had been seen with a knife at a ‘Taylor Swift’ dance class facility on Hart street in Southport and a Major Incident was called.

Emergency services everywhere including the Police force aircraft that went around in circles for hours above, this was a serious situation unfolding, reporters everywhere trying to bring people the information as the best they could.

The news then broke that children had been stabbed and a teenage male had been arrested and taken into custody, Sadly three kids the third being 9-year-old Alice Aguiar have since died and 6 more are in critical condition, two adults are currently in hospital fighting for their lives.

Taylor Swift heard about the horrific attack and sent a message on Instagram:

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I’m just completely in shock,” she writes.

“The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders.

“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”

The community is devastated by this random attack on innocent children and have been laying flowers, everyone in mourning and people finding it hard to come to terms with what unfolded on a sunny warm day in the North West.

On social media people have been naming the suspect however police have since come out saying the name they have is not correct and people must not speculate, they continue not to release the name of the teenager.

The home of the 17-year-old though has since been raided by officers and the road he lived on is now a crime scene and closed off.
