A new three screen contemporary cinema has been proposed to be built in the space where WH Smiths used to be at Stanley Square in Sale.

The new ‘Northern Lights’ cinema layout will be: Cinema 1 will have 57 seats, Cinema 2 will have 57 seats and Cinema 3 will have 39 seats, the new cinema will have other facilities
such as toilets, baby changing area and a small restaurant and foyer.

Every auditoria will have specialist acoustics and a laser projector will beam films on to wide screens, and will have clear exit signage, the seating arrangement looks to be much like that of any other cinema although on a smaller scale.

The cinema will be disabled friendly and will have installed a loop so people with sight issues can listen to a film, guide dogs are also allowed into the cinema.

Security will be a high priority and will use existing CCTV and some more cameras to hopefully deter any criminality or unwanted anti-social behaviour.

In the event of a fire the cinema will have 2 exits and will further consult Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service just before construction.

Sound engineers have looked at everything and conclude noise from all three auditoria will not be heard by anyone either side of the cinema.

This cinema will enhance Sale in a big way and we expect the application to be approved when it is seen by Trafford Planning Committee.
