As widely reported Storm Lilian came in of the Atlantic with winds inland of around 50 to 60mph with the worst of the storm hitting us during the morning.
Images show a tree had fallen on Park Avenue in Old Trafford.
Trees had fallen and bins thrown into the roads, and at Manchester Airport aircraft having to do go around’s due to the winds, the Emirates A380 as shown live on Think Planes YouTube channel which gingerly came into land.
The storm system has left us now although at times during today the wind will whip up again according to weather maps, largely though it should be a better day to get out and about.
