Very high levels of SO2 (Sulphur Dioxide) is currently over Manchester and with the added PM 2.5 (Particulate Matter) pollution this will cause even healthy people problems with breathing and other health issues.
The latest Volcanic eruption in Iceland has pushed out huge amounts of the gas and is currently spreading inland and over Manchester and the North West including all of Wales and South West.
The toxic gas can be seen far and wide with very high levels in the Middle East and Australia region, the United States has also high levels of the gas oddly Iceland itself is completely clear.
Those with existing lung issues should stay inside today, even healthy people are advised not to be doing too much whilst out and about.
Experts warn the toxic gas will be around for a few more days
