This weekend is a big one for all the runners taking part in this years Manchester Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday 13 October.

The event draws in thousands of runners from Elite to first timers, lots of money is also raised for charity.

All the fun starts with the Wheel Chair race at 8.55am and the Elite and White Wave runners start soon after at around 9am for all the other start times click here: https://www.manchesterhalfmarathon.com/start-wave-times/

The route will starts and ends in Trafford, it will come as far as Sale then turns back on itself heading to Edge Lane in Stretford then going East towards Chorlton then heading down Seymour Grove and to the finish line on Talbot Road in Stretford.

Because of the event some roads will be closed for most of the day and you can find out more by clicking here: https://www.manchesterhalfmarathon.com/event-info/travel-information/

The current weather predictions are saying it will be a nice day on Sunday although cooler so you might want to wear the right gear for the race such as a pair of running tights.

Wearing the right trainers is most important for any running event more so in a full and half marathon as its a long way to be running, wearing the right socks should not be overlooked making sure they are seamless.

We wish everyone running all the best and you will be supported well by the Trafford crowds cheering everyone on.
