Police are appealing for information after a serious collision happened on 17 October 2024 on Edge Lane in Stretford.
It is believed an elderly man was crossing the road and a car has hit him, the man was rushed to hospital for treatment, his injuries are serious but fortunately not life changing.
A GMP spokesperson said: ” At around 12:30pm yesterday (Thursday 17 October) we were called to reports of a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian on Edge Lane in Stretford.
“It’s believed that as the pedestrian has crossed the road and a car collided with him. A 69-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are believed to be serious, but not life changing.
“The driver remained at the scene to assist with enquiries.
“Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses, who have not yet spoken to us to get in touch.
“Anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage is also encouraged to come forward. You can do this by calling police on 0161 856 4741 or 101, quoting log 1420 of 17/10/24.”
