Trafford MV in crunch game this weekend

This Saturday brings a crunch game for Trafford MV as they seek to address their position in the Counties 1 ADM Lancashire & Cheshire League.

There is no change forecast on the weather front so play is likely to be affected by a wet slippy ball so both teams will focused on good clean handling and minimising handling errors. 

Heaton Moor are the visitors to MacPherson Park for the 2.15pm kick off and after a weeks break Trafford MV will be expecting to field a strong team with players returning from injury to bolster their matchday squad.

Both teams are struggling near the foot of the league with a penalised Glossop rooted at the bottom Trafford in 11th place and Heaton Moor just one place above them by a single league point.

Much is being done on the training fields to improve area’s of the game and coach Brian Collier can see light at the end tunnel. Only 3 points separate Trafford MV and the 5 teams above them so a win can make a big difference depending on other teams performances as well as their own.

The Club are calling on the home support to fill the touchline and get behind the 1st XV for this important home clash. Kick off is at 2.15pm and the bar will be open prior to the game from 1.00pm. The Clubhouse is expected to be very busy with the Autumn Internationals starting at 3.10pm with England vs All Blacks playing.

Also playing at home is Trafford MV 2nd XV fresh from their good away win at Eccles which saw them take the lead position in the NOWIRUL County Couriers Division 3 Central of HALBRO North West Leagues ahead of Wigan. Aldwinians 3rd XV are the opposition for this Cup game and Trafford will be looking to extend their run in the competition. Again this game kicks off at 2.15pm and support is welcomed.
