Trafford Centre’s beloved Orient food court, home to a breathtaking display of over 6,000 twinkling stars on its ceiling, is offering visitors the opportunity to name one of these iconic stars after a loved one this festive season.
Trafford Centre visitors can create a lasting memory by dedicating a star in celebration of someone special, commemorating a cherished moment, or finding the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for person.
100% of proceeds from the ‘Name a Star’ initiative will go directly to the centre’s nominated ‘Fountain Fund’ charities: Stockdales, FareShare Manchester, and Look Good Feel Better. This initiative aims to brighten lives in more ways than one, with every penny raised supporting those in need throughout the Greater Manchester area.
Simon Layton, Centre Director at Trafford Centre, said: “Christmas is a time for generosity and togetherness, and through this charity initiative, we have a wonderful opportunity to share those values in a meaningful way.
“From speaking with our guests, we know that so many people have special memories of visiting Traf ford Centre with loved ones, each with their own unique story to tell. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to celebrate those cherished memories with a unique gift. And by coming together to support our local charities, we’re creating a brighter Christmas for everyone.”
To dedicate a star, participants are invited to email Christmas.stars@traffordcentre.com by 6 December with their chosen name for the star.
In return for a donation of £30, supporters will receive a certificate featuring their dedicated name and will see their chosen name proudly displayed on a plaque within The Orient for the next year, creating a meaningful and visible tribute
