The migrants have now taken over the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham and many local people are very unhappy at what is going on.
At the hotel a man calling himself Paul an Altrincham resident told us that he doesn’t want them in the area at all and we should send them all back where they came from, he was taken back by how well the were all dressed, mostly in designer clothing with expensive Nike trainers and many seen holding expensive mobile phones.
We found an interview on YouTube seen above with several men all saying they were from Afghanistan and asked some important questions before they decided to move on.
A meeting is being held in Altrincham at 4pm today (7 Nov) and is expected to last around 2 hours, we believe the MP Connor Rand and some councillors will be on hand to try and reassure people.
The feelings of local people matter and what is going on before our very eyes is not good at all but we must remain calm and respectful.
Having these people in our borough will further stretch GP surgeries, none of them will get jobs, they seemingly have enough money so why are they being kept in a 4 star hotel, as the migrants stated everything is free in the hotel and they will be entitled to benefits at some point.
In Trafford we have a big crisis in housing! but not the housing the council keeps going on about, the millions of desperate people trying to move out of their homes need to be located into social housing, not enough of this type of accommodation is available.
Many of these people and others in the borough have to go to food banks and trying to make ends meet just to get by every day and many of these people even work for a living! so it is understandable that these are the very people that must be feeling very angry right now.
Whilst we have to welcome new people it must be done in a fair way, this is not in any way fair on the people of this borough and politicians need to do more not to just calm people or even educate them on the situation but actively assure them that they will find these migrants somewhere far away to live as soon as possible.
As a media channel in Trafford we will not leave this until the right decisions are made.
We understand the other side of the coin where the migrants are treated unfairly in the country they are from however look at how our people are treated in this country, people will say that its the same but running off is not the answer.
