New information has come to us about the tennis courts at Walton Park in Sale where it was believed that a payment was needed to play Tennis.
Notices went up that anyone who wanted to play Tennis had to book a game in advance which would have cost £5 for every 30 minuets however we believe a mix up in communications from the council has occurred.
We now have been told that the payment is not needed to play on both courts at Walton Park and no gates are to be locked.
If you want to book a court then you can do so in advance simply to ensure those that want to use a court can do so, although if both courts are being used it is not known yet what will happen, do those that have booked a court kick the others off? this might cause some unintended issues.
We think that at some courts like Walton Park should drop the LTA scheme as it will likely lead to some ‘Overly’ heated tennis players which with a children’s playground next to it and kids playing football or basketball surely safety should be a priority.
