Storm Bert: Wet and windy with a big rise in temperature for the weekend

After very cold and dry weather things are set to change this weekend as Storm Bert comes in bringing heavy rain and windy weather.

The Met Office have issued a weather warning for heavy rain and snow during the morning for Manchester on Saturday and it will be windy for much of the day, On Sunday it will be less about the rain and more about the wind.

Winds on Sunday could reach up to around 40mph in some areas in the afternoon and could get stronger during the evening according to forecasts.

The temperature will be the biggest change in a while reaching 14c during the day and not going lower than 9c during the evening and overnight.

Next week according to WX Charts are showing very windy weather for the first part of the week and more rain until next weekend where it is forecast to be dry.
