Much has been said about the migrants at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham and we have information to hand about how they get paid and how much they get from the Government.

They will all get a visa card (ASPEN) issued to the migrants which depending on the situation will get £300 per week, if they have section 95 support!, It is not fully known how much someone will get without this requirement although we believe it will be much less.

These cards can be used at most ATM machines however a migrant cannot use it for online purchases.

Politicians from the Government have said in a report that they do not want a migrant held at a hotel for long due to costs however what would be more sickening to the millions of people on the council housing list is the government wants them into accommodation as soon as possible and are also looking at the private renting sector.

It seems the government want these new people settled and into work which would put additional pressure on people trying hard to get a decent job in the borough.

The £300 a week a migrant gets might still be paid even if they get employment! it is likely they will all get housing benefit once a property becomes available.

Whilst many of us struggle to make ends meet its simply not fair on the tax payer that they have to pay so much out to keep these people with so much support, and for the council not to tell the people or have some say in the matter who comes into the borough.

The councillors go quiet in the hope this entire thing can be forgotten, and throw it under the carpet as normal! it would be up to the people of this borough to say NO! to this and demand change.

Migrants often flee a bad situation and in some cases have to risk life to get to the UK, we don’t think many people would deny them somewhere to stay and food with a small payment to help with clothes and other things they will need, having them in a 4 star hotel with some getting £300 a week and the government trying to get them accommodation as quickly as possible is understandably going to be a big problem with just about everyone.

Having some of the councillors backing them, putting them first before any resident of this borough is a disgrace this can be seen and heard in the last council meeting! with the local elections next year it will be interesting to see the turn out!
