Bovaer the additive that helps cows reduce methane by around 30% has been on the lips of just about everyone, much confusion exists.

The additive has been extensively safety tested according to the firm who makes it, they claim its been around for 15-years and is a superior food supplement approved by UK, EFSA and other authorities.

Trials have shown no effects on this supplement on the cow or humans, according the EFSA website the additive has been tested on rats and sadly a beagle dog was used in the trials including on humans.

With all that testing the conclusion was that the only real danger was farmers inhaling the additive and nothing else, although these were extensive trials nothing has been mentioned about the long term use of the additive on both the cow and humans

It was also mentioned that Bill Gates has nothing to do with this additive.

People though are rightly concerned by the use of such a chemical and worried about it entering the food chain when it really shouldn’t be there since despite cows producing lots of methane it has not damaged the environment as much as the politicians claim.

We suggest that these people going on about ‘Climate Change’ should actually put more attention on the air quality which is killing over 100 people every year in Trafford.

Whilst the Trafford Council Planning Committee approves these huge housing developments they forget that nearly everyone will have one or two cars and this will increase roadside pollution significantly killing even more people.

It would be up to the individual if they want to continue using products where cows have been fed the additive like Arla, with the testing done at this time it looks safe to consume however due to the lack of information we are still concerned about long term use.
