Storm Darragh is moving towards the western side of the UK and is expected to impact much of the North West later on tonight and much of tomorrow.

Winds in some places will gust to around 80mph although it’s expected Manchester won’t be as bad as other western sided areas, winds will still be strong though.

With the winds will come with it a large amount of rain which will mean localised flooding for most parts and we could include parts of Washway Road, Sale!

We expect brooks in Trafford to flood so be prepared.

Whilst tonight and Saturday are predicted to be bad, Sunday will also be gusty although the better day if you need to get out and about.

We ask motorists to be mindful of cyclists and pedestrians in bad weather, do not intentionally use your car to soak them, this is illegal and morally irresponsible and could cause accidents.
