On Bonfire night (05/11/24) whilst playing football teenager Jake Lawler suddenly collapsed on the field, Emergency Services attended and despite the best efforts could not be revived.

Sale High School continues to support students and staff throughout this tragic and incredibly difficult time.

School staff will join year 10 and 11 students to pay their respects as Jake’s funeral cortege passes by during this Thursday morning (12 December).

The school asks local people not to be parking outside the school on Norris Road before 11am to allow access for the funeral cars and for the safety of the community.

Sale High School shares a link to Jake’s memorial fund, set up by his family to raise awareness of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

All money will go towards raising awareness of young sudden cardiac death as well as supporting the families affected and more.

If you would like to donate to the memorial fund, the link is www.c-r-y.org.uk/jake-lawler
