Snow has been widely predicted to fall in Greater Manchester on Saturday evening and rain will be a big problem for much of Sunday according to forecasts from WXCharts

Saturday morning and afternoon will be a nice day until the evening so it would be a good time to get out and about but wrap up warm.

Everywhere will get over an inch of snow however rain will have swept it all away by midday on Sunday leaving much of the afternoon dry here in Manchester.

We do not expect any flooding to happen although brooks and rivers will rise slightly, the risk for people will be the ice on Sunday evening on untreated back roads and pavements.

The weather for next week is predicted to be much better with some isolated showers on Monday leaving the rest of the week dry as a huge ridge of high pressure comes in and stays around until next weekend.
