Linda Nolan from the girl group Nolan Sisters has sadly passed away aged 65
All her family were around her when she died earlier today (15 January) at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
It is believed Linda had caught the flu but was over it and feeling fine and soon after the singer and TV personality was dead.
Linda was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2005 but was clear of the cancer the year after, in 2017 she was then diagnosed with some form of cancer in her hip which spread to other organs of her body.
In 2023 the cancer spread to her brain, the tumours found were not thought to be growing any bigger however Linda got the news a year later they had grown which caused balance and speech issues.
Her sister Bernie also died of cancer in 2013 aged 52.
Linda was also a columnist with The Mirror Newspaper and wrote her last one saying that Doctors said she got a bad case of the flu, the Irish singer mentioned that she could hardly breath and that her legs were a bit wobbly.
Due to her condition over Christmas and New Year she could hardly eat however once she started feeling better again managed to eat a curry with her sister.
Her Manager said in a statement: “Over the weekend, Linda was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and admitted with double pneumonia.
“In the early hours of Tuesday morning, she went into a coma and into end-of-life care, surrounded by her devoted family.
“At around 10.20am on Wednesday, she passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments, aged 65.
“Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others.”
