Trafford MV 1st XV are back in League action and back on home soil as Wilmslow visit MacPherson Park this Saturday (18th).
The game kicks off at 2.15pm and the Club is calling for support from across the various age tiers of the Club as we seek to kick on with a strong second half to the season.
The visit of Wilmslow will give TMV a chance to put the record straight following a heavy away defeat earlier in the season as a paying crowd were compelled to watch our team go down 85-14 in mid October.
Since this game Trafford have moved on up the table and currently hold onto 7th place in the league with 5 wins under their belt while Wilmslow are sitting in 4th place with 7 wins from their 13 games. With the right mindset Trafford will have a good prospect of getting a result in this game.
The bar will be open in the Clubhouse for early arrivals to get their refreshments from 1.00pm
The TMV 2nd XV will make their way to Warrington to face their 2nd XV in a 2.15pm kick off. Both teams are level on 47 points with Warrington 2nd and TMV 3rd placed so everything to play for!.
On Sunday our Ladies XV have a long journey ahead of them as they head to the North Easy to take on Peterlee and Horden Ladies. TMV Ladies will be looking to consolidate their 2nd place in the league while the home side will be looking to improve on their 4th placing. Let’s hope it’s a light hearted journey home for our girls with points in the bag !!!!
Also on Sunday our age group girls are in action with games against Littleborough Girls. Both our U12’s and U14’s have games lined up kicking off at 1.00pm and they would welcome any young girls interested in playing Rugby to come down and watch their games.
Our U16’s girls will gather together with other girls teams at Manchester Rugby Club for a joint training session as they continue to grow numbers and develop their skills.
The Boy’s U13’s side are in Lancashire Cup action as they travel to face Preston Grasshoppers in Round 3 kicking off at 11.00am.
Good Luck to all the players and officials representing Trafford MV this weekend.
We would call on our membership to spare a couple of hours of the weekend to come along and support the teams playing wherever and when ever you can. The Club welcomes your support both on and off the pitch as we look to build our Club for the present and the future.
