Police on and around Bridgewater Canal tow path in Sale due to an incident with three men on the run

Police came into Walton Park in Sale at around 4.20pm today 13 February 2025 and were seen rushing to the Bridgewater Canal tow path looking for what is believed to be three men.

More police were also seen going down Frieston Road in Timperley in full emergency mode shortly after, other police cars were seen in full emergency mode racing down nearby Park Road and A56.

Residents in Walton Park and on the canal tow path all mentioned 3 guys roughly aged between 18 and 30 with Asian or Eastern European appearance, they had on dark coloured sportswear, one resident was overheard claiming two of these males were hiding in the trees near to the Bowling green and made off at pace towards Walton Road.

At this time we have no further information on exactly what had happened or who it was Police were after, we have contacted GMP for a statement.
