CHEP, the supply chain solutions company and the largest equipment pooling network worldwide, has announced the appointment of Murray Gilder as the new Country General Manager of its UK & Ireland business effective immediately.

Murray succeeds Alasdair Hamblin, who has recently assumed the role of Regional General Manager, Iberia, Benelux, Nordics and UK & Ireland.

“I am delighted to welcome Murray to the UK & Ireland business. His steadfast leadership of our Automotive business across Europe and North America has delivered reliable growth and robust partnerships throughout challenging environments and will prove instrumental as we continue to innovate and collaborate with our customers in the UK and Ireland”, said Alasdair.

Murray joined CHEP in 2017 as the Vice President of our European Automotive business. In 2020, he also became responsible for our Automotive operations in North America.

“I am thrilled to be leading the UK & Ireland business and am looking forward to continuing our journey as the market leader in developing and delivering the regenerative supply networks of the future”, said Murray.
