New padel tennis courts could be built in Partington soon

Three padel tennis courts could be built behind the Fuse in Partington soon if approved by Trafford Council Planning Committee.

The nearest paddle tennis courts at this time are located at Dunham Forest Golf Course.

If approved it will replace a basketball court it will also mean new trees will be planted, sadly no new parking spaces will be provided and no cycle spaces on site.

The padel tennis courts will also come with a toilet and reception area with refreshment facilities on the site.

One resident mentioned on the application about the increased car parking issues along Warburton Lane, it is hoped that the council will do something about the parking issues before giving the application the green light.

This new padel tennis court facility will be good for Partington, it’s simply a great idea and one we hope the council will approve.

Padel tennis is very similar to normal tennis only that the court is smaller and the rackets are different, the ball is slightly deflated, its a great game designed for fun and fitness for everyone.
