Funeral directors could soon move into property next to a care home in Partington

A funeral directors could get the green light to move next door to a care home on Wood Lane in Partington if Trafford Planning approves the application.

Currently some warehousing and offices operate from the location where the change of use is proposed.

YOLO Funeral Services Ltd have proposed to fit additional entrance rollers to existing buildings and create rooms such as a cold storage room to keep the deceased which will be at the rear of the property, a chapel of rest and other rooms such as a salon and treatment rooms will be built.

The car park will be unchanged with spaces for 29 cars, the hours the funeral directors will be open are mentioned in the application as ‘Normal hours’ so expect 9am till 6pm although it does say sometimes they will be open during the weekend on some occasions.

Some of the existing buildings will remain as offices.

Whilst some people will be fine with having a funeral directors right next to a huge care home others may feel it is not the right location, if you support or object this for whatever reason you can do so by heading to Trafford Planning Search and entering reference number 115282/FUL/25
