Police have arrested a man after a number of vehicles were targeted in the early hours of this morning (5 April).
Several reports were received by police from members of the public of a man trying car door handles between midnight and 4 am. The suspicious activity was reported to be on Grosvenor Road, Barnfield Crescent, and Sandwell Crescent Drive.
A man in his 50s was detained by response officers and is in custody being questioned on suspicion of vehicle interference.
According to police, it’s believed he may be linked to other incidents over the past few weeks.
Detective Superintendent Alicia Smith said: “We have been making great progress in tackling burglary and vehicle crime in Trafford, which is why we are pleased to have this individual in custody.
“Even though we have someone in custody, this is still an active investigation, and we are appealing for any information, dash-cam footage, or CCTV from doorbell cameras in the area.
“We are looking for footage of anyone acting suspiciously between midnight and 4 am this morning, and we are asking residents to check their vehicles for any missing items.
