Mobile phones, smart watches, and laptops made from Chinese firm Dorland have been recalled after it was found all items bought from either Amazon or Dorland website could explode or set on fire.

According to the Office of Product and Safety standards the items listed below claimed they was suitable for zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas, however it seems their was no appropriate conformity assessment carried out before being shipped to the UK.

Mobile Phones

  • Dorland Extreme 5G
  • Dorland Extra 5G
  • Dorland Extra 5G Plus
  • Dorland Extra 5G Pro
  • Dorland Aloha 5G Pro
  • Dorland EX08 Pro
  • Dorland Unicorn 10 Pro 4G

Laptop

  • Dorland EX NB09S

Smartwatch

  • Dorland Ex Smart 04 Plus 4G
  • Dorland EX 02 Plus 4G

Items listed could explode or set on fire in hazardous areas such as petrol stations and in other areas including industrial sites.

The government are asking Amazon to recall the listed products and to offer a refund once items have been returned, at the time of publishing nothing has been seen on Amazon’s UK website although expect this to change, for the time being if you have any of the effected equipment you must stop using immediately.

If you are using a mobile phone and you have numbers and other information stored you should transfer everything to another handset and do a master reset on the Dorland mobile phone, smartwatches must be taken off and stored in a safe place, discontinue using the laptop if you have one.
