The Exotic Animal Vets (TEAV), set up by exotics specialist and Supreme Petfoods Veterinary Advisor, Molly Varga Smith, is set to open on 22nd April in Urmston.

TEAV will be the first and only specialist-led exotics practice in the North of England, offering first opinion, second opinion, and referral consultations exclusively for exotic species.

The practice will also offer comprehensive 24/7 care with the same team managing both daytime and out-of-hours emergencies, ensuring continuity and familiarity for clients and their pets.

Fully equipped to cater to a wide variety of exotic species, the practice will have state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet their unique needs. These include heated hospital cages for small mammals such as rabbits and rodents, custom-built vivaria with species-appropriate UV lighting tailored to different reptile requirements, and advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment specifically designed for exotic animal care.

The team at TEAV comprises highly skilled professionals with advanced qualifications in exotic animal care. Alongside Molly, there will be two clinical veterinary nurses, both holding certificates in Nursing Exotic Species, and one non-clinical nurse who will manage triage, dispensing, and reception duties. Initially, Molly will lead the veterinary work, with plans to expand the team to include other experienced specialists.

“We know that exotic pets require highly specialised care, and our mission is to provide that expertise with compassion,” says Molly Varga. “Our entire team is trained and experienced in handling, treating, and advising on a diverse range of exotic species. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care for every animal that comes through our doors.”

Supreme Petfoods will support the practice by providing a range of premium small animal food and treats, including their newly launched small pet joint supplement range, available for purchase in the practice’s waiting room.

“We are delighted to support The Exotic Animal Vets as they bring specialist care to exotic pets in the North of England,” says Claire Hamblion, Marketing Director at Supreme Petfoods. “Providing high-quality nutrition is essential to the well-being of small pets, and we are proud to make our products available to pet owners through this innovative new practice.”

The practice is now open for registrations from exotic pet owners who can find out more through the following link: http://www.TheExoticAnimalVets.co.uk
