The countdown is on with less than four weeks to go until Live at Arley returns to Arley Hall in Cheshire.

The outdoor concert series promises an all-star line-up of superstar performers to entertain music lovers in the spectacular surroundings grounds of the stately home near Northwich.

And the 2025 event will also feature fantastic supercars with a special visit from ultimate driving event The Cannon Run.

This year’s Live at Arley weekend takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 17-18 May.

The festivities kick off on Saturday, 17 May with a fantastic night of disco as 70s icons Boney M headlines a Back to Boogie Concert to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary. They appear alongside US chart-toppers Odyssey, Liverpool soul legends The Real Thing and guest star Hot Chocolate frontman Kennie Simon.

Boney M ruled the 70s with a string of unforgettable global hits including Rivers of BabylonRasputin, Daddy CoolBrown Girl in the RingGotta Go Home and many more.

Led by original founder, the irrepressible Maizie Williams, the group’s unmistakable cocktail of pop, disco and reggae is still shaking up dancefloors throughout the world. With a golden run of timeless songs in their armoury, Boney M deliver ‘a world of fun for everyone’, magically transporting listeners back in time to the heady days of glitter balls, flares, big hair and even bigger heels.

Odyssey rose to fame in the late 1970s. Known for its smooth harmonies and infectious grooves, the group achieved global success with its breakout 1977 hit Native New Yorker, an enduring disco classic. Other chart-topping singles include the anthem Going Back to My Roots and the soulful Use It up and Wear it Out which reached number one in the UK.

With a unique blend of disco, soul and funk, Odyssey remains a beloved icon of the dance music era.

British soul and disco group The Real Thing, formed in Liverpool in 1972, is known for its smooth vocals and timeless hits and became one of the UK’s most successful souls acts of the 70s and 80s with its 1976 smash hit You to Me are Everything topping the charts and remaining a soul classic.

Other notable hits include Can’t Get by Without You, and the socially conscious Children of the Ghetto.

Blending soul, disco and funk, The Real Thing has left an indelible mark on music history and completes an incredible line-up for this year’s Back to Boogie Concert at Arley Hall.

Kennie Simon completes the Saturday line-up. He has enjoyed a prolific music career spanning more than six decades, and has been Hot Chocolate’s lead singer and keyboard player for the past 15 years, during which time he has toured the globe with the legendary band – to widespread acclaim.

He brings his velvety vocal tones to the iconic British group’s many hits including the chart-topping So You Win Again and crowd pleasers like You Sexy ThingEveryone’s A WinnerIt Started with a KissBrother LouieLove is Life and I Gave You my Heart (Didn’t I?).

Meanwhile Saturday 17 May will also see a visit from The Cannon Run which will embark on an exhilarating journey from its West Midlands headquarters to the festival ground for Live at Arley’s Back to Boogie Concert.

As part of this unique collaboration, up to 50 elite Supercars will be exhibited at the event, offering attendees a rare opportunity to witness automotive excellence alongside world-class live music.

The weekend concert series continues on Sunday evening with a magnificent Proms and anniversary concert headlined by Salford-born superstar singer Russell Watson – crowned the UK’s best-selling classical artist of all time – who is celebrating 25 years since the release of his landmark debut album The Voice.

The record-breaking album reached the number one chart spot – a position it held for a world record 52 weeks, catapulting the singer into the international spotlight.

Watson’s concert will feature a selection of much-loved tracks from the album alongside rousing Proms favourites and stirring anthems, and he will be supported by a host of incredible musicians and singers from brass and pipe bands to 100-strong local choirs and performers.

And new for 2025, the outdoor concerts will also feature a special Premium Experience, hosted by popular Knutsford venue Dexter & Jones.

Run by actor Adam Rickitt and his journalist wife Katy Rickitt (Good Morning Britain), Dexter & Jones is renowned for its exceptional selection of independent craft beer, artisan gin and fine wine and its wonderful, feelgood community atmosphere.

The Premium Experience includes giant fairy light-illuminated teepees with seating, a fully stocked bar, VIP toilet facilities and exclusive entertainment.

Guests can also bring their own picnics to the event, as well as being able to choose from additional food and drink stalls on site throughout the weekend including Knutsford favourite April’s Kitchen and more.

This year’s Live at Arley is supporting local charity The GEM Appeal which fundraises for the Willink Unit based at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and its vital research into genetic diseases.

Live at Arley event organiser Max Eden, of Cheshire Concerts, says: “We’re beyond excited for this year’s exceptional line-up, celebrating 50 years of Disco Legends; Boney M and 25 years of Russell Watson’s iconic The Voice Album.

“This year’s concerts feature a whole host of other great attractions including The Cannon Run supercar display and a great locally focused food and drink offer, with amazing local businesses such as Dexter and Jones and April’s Kitchen showcased at the concerts.

“We’ve a few special surprises planned across the weekend too, it’s going to be very special indeed!”
