A Failsworth mum is taking on the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 10K this Sunday (May 18) to raise funds for her teenage daughter who has grade 4 cerebral palsy.

Hannah Cadinouche, 13, was born a day over her due date via emergency C-section due to her heart rate going high and very low.
A few days later, Hannah had a seizure which made her very lethargic, and the next day she was admitted to the hospital at four days old.
Mum Tabby Hussain, 46, who works as a receptionist at the Nuffield Health gym in Didsbury, said:
“‘The first month of her life was spent in the high-dependence unit in the hospital. I was told Hannah had a brain injury, was severely sight impaired, had epilepsy, and that she would not sit up, stand, walk, or talk.
‘But fast forward eleven years and Hannah has come on leaps and bounds thanks to intensive physio, hydro pool swimming, standers, walkers, splints, and her wheelchair.’
Tabby is raising money for hydrotherapy to support Hannah’s movement and build strength to help her become more independent. She also hopes to adapt their garden so that Hannah can more easily use her adapted trike and an accessible swing can be put up. The renovations are likely to cost around £16,000.
Tabby added: “I’m quite nervous about the 10K as it’s the first one I’ve done alone. But anything that helps raise funds to help Hannah is worth it.”
“I’m also collecting prizes for a raffle to be held at work, and people have already been very generous. But every little bit helps, and if anyone wants to donate to help Hannah, I’m always hugely grateful.”
“Hannah is a sociable girl, a huge Manchester United fan who loves being out and about and being around people, as well as music, especially rap and anything with a strong beat. Like any mother, I just want the best for her, and physio and an accessible garden will make a huge difference to her.”
The family is being supported by children’s charity Tree of Hope, which helps families raise money for children and young people like Hannah for medical treatments and healthcare services not freely available to them through the NHS and social care. The charity provides fundraising guidance, campaign development, financial management, charity registration, and emotional support from the Family Support team. Families like Hannah’s benefit from gift aid, corporate support while also providing donor reassurance.
Tree of Hope CEO Becky Andrew said: “We wish Hannah and her family all the best with their fundraising activities. We are pleased to be supporting them to give them the support in reaching their fundraising goals.”
