Live at Arley organisers are celebrating a smash hit success with a record-breaking weekend of fantastic music.
Thousands of revellers basked in the hot May sunshine as they enjoyed the outdoor concert series at Arley Hall in Cheshire where they were entertained by a stellar line-up of superstar performers headlined by disco icons Boney M.
And the event also raised more than £5,000 for local charity The GEM Appeal which helps fund vital research into genetic diseases.
This year’s Live at Arley weekend was officially opened by the new Mayor of Knutsford, Bryan Hartley and the event partnered with Discover Knutsford to champion the historic Cheshire market town.
Saturday evening saw the Back to Boogie Concert where crowds were treated to a memorable night of disco led by 70s legends Boney M, marking the band’s 50th anniversary. They appeared alongside US chart-toppers Odyssey, Liverpool soul legends The Real Thing and guest star Hot Chocolate frontman Kennie Simon.
The weekend concert series continued on Sunday with a rousing Proms and anniversary extravaganza headlined by Salford-born superstar singer Russell Watson – crowned the UK’s best-selling classical artist of all time – who is celebrating 25 years since the release of his landmark debut album The Voice.
He was supported by a line-up of talented musicians and singers from brass and pipe bands to 100-strong local choirs and performers.
And each evening also featured a thrilling firework display from the award-winning Nemesis Fireworks.
There was also a full range of tantalizing food and drink on offer from local outlets including April’s Kitchen and Crazy Wendy’s.
Live at Arley event organiser Max Eden, of Cheshire Concerts, says: “What an amazing weekend – the weather couldn’t have been better, we had record numbers through the gates and there was a lovely friendly community atmosphere across the whole site.
“Boney M played a stunning set to get everyone dancing, and the crowds loved Odyssey, The Real Thing and Kennie Simon. It was also fantastic to welcome Russell Watson for a second year. His Sunday night Proms concert was a wonderful finale to the 2025 Live at Arley event.
“As a result of the weekend we’re able to give a large donation towards this year’s charity, The GEM Appeal, which is such an important and worthwhile cause.
“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came and supported the weekend. See you all again in 2026!”
