Members of the traveller community arrived this week at Selsey Avenue Fields in Sale.
Local councillors have been contacted and have attended the green space and saw for themselves the caravans and understand the worries of local residents. They are doing all they can to get both the council and Greater Manchester Police to remove them.
Tory councillor Rob Duncan posted something to assure people that action was being taken on social media:

In the past, some travelers, after leaving a site, have left behind lots of rubbish and damaged the grass areas where their caravans and vehicles have been parked. On one occasion, travelers have been spotted by local people using the bushes to dump toilet waste.
The intrusion must be unsettling to those residents who have houses close to the caravans and want immediate action to remove the travelers who have no rights to be on the field.
Once they have been told to leave, it’s only a matter of time before they end up somewhere else in the borough, and the same process will be underway once more.
