A teenager has been banned from parts of Trafford after police worked with Trafford Council to secure a court order.
Cullen Hinds, 18, of Old Trafford, is not allowed to enter the Stretford area or go to the areas of Urmston or Partington.
The order, granted at Manchester Civil Court on 28 May 2025, comes under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
He can travel through the exclusion zone by car or public transport but is not allowed out of his transportation.
Trafford has the borough under survailiance like no other with cameras just about everywhere you go, linking up with both TFGM and GMP’s own cameras with the addition of business and residential cameras it will be easier for Police and the Council to keep track of people.
Hinds is also banned from using or threatening unlawful violence towards any person in Trafford.
If he breaches any condition of the injunction, which lasts for three years, he can be arrested.
Inspector Scott Wolstenholme, of Trafford North Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We have a number of tools at our disposal to tackle and curb criminal activity and keep our communities safe.
“These include criminal proceedings, injunctions, conditional behaviour orders and restraining orders.
“We rely on information from the public to aid our investigations and we will take action against anyone who is a blight on our communities.
“In working closely with partners, such as Trafford Council’s Community Safety Team, we want to make Trafford a safe place to live, work and visit.
“Anybody who has any information or concerns regarding ongoing crime within their community should contact GMP on 101 or via the reporting tools on the GMP website, or by calling Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.”
Cllr Rose Thompson, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Communities and Safety, said: “This action demonstrates our resolve to protect our communities and young people from the devastating consequences of serious violence.
“We are using every legal tool available to prevent further harm and ensure public safety remains our top priority.”
Residents with concerns about anti-social behaviour in their area can also contact the council on 0161 912 3434 or safer.communities@trafford.gov.uk.
