Eligible men across Manchester are invited to a special Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening event at the iconic Manchester United Old Trafford Football Stadium on Tuesday 29th July, from 9:30am to 6:00pm.
AAA is a potentially life-threatening condition where the wall of the aorta in the abdomen weakens and may eventually rupture. The condition usually develops without noticeable symptoms, meaning that those at risk won’t know they have it without a scan. Screening takes just 10 minutes with a painless ultrasound – and could save your life.
Who is eligible?
Men aged 64–66 who have not previously been screened.
As well as your AAA screening, other health services will be available on the day, including:
- Roy Castle Lung Foundation
- Lung Cancer Screening Programme
- Macmillan Cancer Support
Bonus: Everyone attending will be entered into a prize draw for two tickets for a tour of Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium.
