The Brit Fest 2025 Unites 30,000 festivalgoers for a Weekend of Music, Love and Unforgettable Moments
Ashley Hall Showground, Cheshire, played host to a truly unforgettable weekend as The Brit Fest 2025 welcomed 30,000 festivalgoers and broke a world record for the largest ever Hokey Cokey, led by none other than Black Lace who also got the entire crowd moving in a giant conga!
This four-day spectacular brought music, magic and connection to the heart of Cheshire, with every kind of weather only adding to the story. Across the site, the atmosphere was electric, and the memories made will last a lifetime.
The 2025 line-up was nothing short of iconic, featuring massive names including UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Razorlight, 10cc, Midge Ure, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Blancmange, Hue & Cry, Cutting Crew, The Fizz, Katrina and Musical Youth (a brilliant last-minute addition). Thursday night’s opening celebration saw Squeeze, Badly Drawn Boy, and China Crisis kick off the weekend in style.
Festival Director Edward Prophet shared:
“This year was just very special — one we’ll remember forever. There was so much love on site. Music has this unique power to bring people together, to create joy, healing and connection — and we saw that in every performance, every singalong, and every smile across the weekend.”
An emotional highlight came when students Max and Sam from our 2025 charity partner Seashell joined us on the Main Stage. Their visit, as part of Seashell’s music therapy programme, was met with a standing ovation and helped raise thousands of pounds for the life-changing work the charity does for children and young people.
The Brit Fest 2025 continued to prioritise its strong local links, with a huge focus on Cheshire-based partners. Festivalgoers tucked into incredible food and drink from The Con Club, Most Bakery, Sigiriya, Tipsy Tea and more. Our title partner ABC + Warranty brought key moments to life and helped make this growing event shine.
The layout this year made everything beautifully simple – with almost all the action taking place in the main arena field.
Beyond the headline acts, the Busk Stops hosted emerging talent and creative performances across the site, while mini golf, fire walking, and immersive workshops gave families and friends even more to explore. With brilliant daily dress themes and infectious energy from our much-loved hosts Jenny Powell and Mike Toolan, the fun never stopped.
Local towns Altrincham, Hale, and Knutsford felt the energy too, with festivalgoers travelling in via our free shuttle services, supporting local business and enjoying all that the region has to offer.
This unforgettable weekend builds on an incredible 12 months for organisers Great British Festivals – with multiple national award nominations, a High Sheriff’s Award for Community Contribution, and the festival’s co-founders recently being made Freemen of Altrincham by the historic Court Leet.
