This weekend, Manchester is set to go Supersonic for the Oasis reunion, and Iceland Foods is making sure no Liam or Noel goes hungry, handing out the band’s favorite meal, lasagne, for free to anyone with the same name as the famous brothers.

As music fans across the city prepare for the homecoming, Iceland Foods stores across Manchester are dishing out freebies of the meal famously sung by Liam in their hit song, Digsy’s Dinner.

Last year, Liam opened his Definitely Maybe tour by asking the crowd, ‘anybody fancy some lasagne?’ before serenading the crowd with the classic song. Manchester fans will be hoping the tune, in the top 40 of the most streamed Oasis songs of all time, will be sung at Heaton Park to the 160,000 fans expected to attend.

To celebrate the Manchester gigs and the legendary song, Iceland is making sure anyone with the first name of Liam or Noel won’t be looking back in hunger, by giving them free lasagne.

To claim the freebie, Manchester residents sharing the same name as the duo can pick up a free frozen lasagne on 11th and 12th July at participating Iceland or The Food Warehouse stores by simply showing valid ID at the till.*

The offer is even open to Liam and Noel themselves, should they pop in before the history-making gigs.

Paul Dhaliwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Iceland Foods said, “Anybody fancy some lasagne?

“We know how much fans are looking forward to this reunion, especially in Manchester, so we thought it was only right to celebrate by treating all the Mancunian Liams and Noels to Liam’s favorite dish, back where it all began.”

The Liams and Noels of Manchester can pick up the ultimate pre-gig meal, choosing from either the Iceland Lasagne (£1) or the Iceland Vegetable Lasagne (£1 – Available at The Food Warehouse only) at the following participating stores:
