The Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, praised students at Trafford and Stockport College Group for their hard work during her visit on results day. She congratulated students for their achievements, including Callum Hitchen, who is pursuing an apprenticeship with Caddick Construction, and Ali Imran, who is exploring apprenticeship options after completing his T Level.
Phillipson emphasized the importance of diverse pathways into higher education and employment, highlighting the role of FE colleges in providing opportunities for all students. Notable achievers included Maedeh Zare, progressing to Imperial College London, Eden Milner, heading to the University of Liverpool, and Mollie Fairlee, who will study at Lancaster University.
James Scott, the CEO, and Carmen Gonzalez-Eslava, Group Principal, remarked on the significance of the visit in showcasing student achievements and the college’s impact. They underscored how essential support can lead to success for their diverse student body.
