The South of the River Beer Festival returns to Trafford this month and starts on Friday 12th at 5 PM.
With a choice of over 20 cask ales and ciders plus gin and prosecco bars, there are drinks to suit all tastes, along with a variety of non-alcoholic drinks also available. The event continues into the late evening on both Friday and Saturday with great vibes to keep you going.
As a major event in the community, tickets are available at our host venue, Trafford MV Sports Club, at M33 6LR. Tickets purchased in advance of the event from either the Clubhouse Bar or from our online options below will qualify for a free drink on arrival.
Live music will entertain you on both evenings, featuring a variety of music to raise your spirits. On Friday evening, we open with Stretford Ukes, followed by local band Jon Vivant, and to close the evening, we have the fantastic Indie Thieves.
You are welcome to come back for more of the same on Saturday when we have singer/guitarist Geoff Fagan performing, followed by the brassy combination of Jess and Colleen. Ending the weekend on a high will be Mendo and The Metrovicks playing some great sounds to get you dancing.
There will be tasty street food served during both sessions, with local Thyme and Season Catering keeping you fed, ranging from burgers, gyros, goujons, fries, and much more to choose from.
If you enjoy live sport, we have the final weekend of this summer season with Trafford MV hosting Warrington CC. If rugby is more your game, we also have the first home league game of the 2025/26 season with TMV welcoming Didsbury Toc H in a 2:00 PM kickoff game.
Our charity partner for this year’s event is Manchester Mind, who do great work in the city and its surrounds helping people with their mental health needs in what is a very stressful time for many people.
If possible could guests bring along some cash for raffles and donations if you are able to support this worthy cause. Any raffle prize donations can be handed in at the clubhouse bar prior to the event or at the ticket desk on the event days.
South of the River will be very busy, and we recommend you get tickets beforehand to ease any queues. Cash and card will be accepted at the event only; the clubhouse bar will be card only!
