Emergency services were called just after 12:30 PM on 6 September to an incident at Dosa Kings Restaurant on Northenden Road in Sale.
Police closed off the road as paramedics went into the Indian restaurant, and it is believed that several people had become unwell after eating something; they were all treated outside the establishment. A handful of people were able to leave, but one person had to go to the hospital.
Firefighters also attended and first ruled out any gas leaks.
Dosa Kings has an excellent food hygiene rating, with Trafford Council giving them a 5 rating, which is the best score. It seems some of these people had a bad reaction to something they had eaten rather than anything to do with the food served.
Investigations into what happened will continue so the owner of the business can pinpoint the issue and add a notice about potential side effects or even remove it completely.
Police kept the road closed for some time until the all-clear was given and the cordon lifted.
