So Retro Events brings sustainable shopping to Urmston 

So Retro Events is bringing a sustainable shopping experience like no other to The Venue, Urmston on Sunday 19th October, 11am-4pm. The space will be packed with stalls selling vintage, preloved, and handmade clothing, accessories, jewellery, retro artwork, and vinyl records.

There will be loads of incredible independent retailers showcasing their exquisite handmade and upcycled items, as well as vintage and secondhand goods from across the decades. If you’re looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind piece for your wardrobe, this is the place to be!

As well as the fabulous market, Future Fashion Fair will be running a clothes swap, where you can bring along any unwanted items (max 10) and swap them for something new! Fashion Stylist Sophie Yesufu will be at the event from 1-4pm, offering free colour analysis taster sessions, so if you’ve always wanted to know which colours make you pop, then make sure you stop by her stand.

DJs Coffee & Turntables will be spinning tunes all day, providing the perfect soundtrack to your shopping experience, and there will be a food and drink court outside, where you can refuel with delicious coffees, cakes, crepes, and gourmet hot dogs!

So Retro Events founder Michelle Barratt is delighted to be bringing this event to Urmston. “We are known for our vintage fairs, but this event is also showcasing some amazing preloved and handmade clothing and accessory businesses,” says Michelle.  “I am passionate about supporting local, independent businesses and also focusing on sustainability, an issue which is really important to me.”
