This first-of-its-kind conference will be held in the heart of Manchester on 11 October 2025, bringing together survivors, families, and experts to shed light on the realities of the grooming gang scandals that have affected communities across the UK.
The event will centre survivors’ voices, offering a platform for truth-telling, healing, and renewed focus on accountability and justice.
Among those speaking are survivors Ellie Reynolds and Fiona Goddard, who will share their lived experiences and insights. They will be joined by Marlon West, a father of a survivor who has become a leading advocate for awareness and reform, and Adam Wren, a researcher and expert who has worked to release key documents and transcripts relating to grooming cases.
For too long, the conversation has been hyper politicised and the real issue has been pushed to the sidelines. We want to bring the conversation back to the survivors and their stories.
The Manchester conference marks the first time survivors, family members, activists and researchers have come together in such a way to directly address the ongoing impact of grooming gangs, and to call for real change.

Britain’s grooming gang scandal is the biggest shame of the country. Hundreds of thousands of girls have been raped, drugged and abused while the authorities have turned a blind eye. The conference will take away the political element and bring it back to the lives and stories of people impacted.
