This Christmas ‘Dramacall’ is helping the most vulnerable in society with their annual Drama Christmas Giveback – a heartfelt community initiative dedicated to supporting families in need across Manchester during the festive season.
For many families, Christmas can be an incredibly challenging time. Rising costs and financial pressures mean that essentials can be hard to come by. This event aims to bring warmth, dignity, and joy to those who need it most by providing vital support, including frozen turkeys, food items, clothing, toys, and Christmas gifts – helping families experience the care and celebration everyone deserves at Christmas.
The organiser tells us they have received an amazing response from the local community while raising donations. The event this Saturday is going to be the best ever, with essentials and gifts that will help towards a better Christmas and into the New Year for those in genuine need.
This event is for any family in any area of Greater Manchester, although it is hoped Trafford families who are in need will come down and get some things to help them out. Most importantly, according to the organiser of the event, is that if you attend, you will be able to take what you want with no judgement or barriers.
With the cost of living becoming ever harder, even if people are working these days, many people still need Universal Credit to make ends meet. Energy costs have gone through the roof due to the government’s Net Zero policy; all these things and more are putting strain on budgets, especially for those on benefits.
If there is anything left after the event, the organiser tells us it will be passed on to children’s charities, hospitals, and other local causes.
