Trafford Council’s Community Safety Team, along with Greater Manchester Police and the landlord ‘Guinness Trust’, worked together to take action against the resident.

Due to all the issues at the property on Hartington Close, which caused neighbours problems such as fighting in the streets, drug-related activity, and noise problems, as well as one incident where a meat cleaver was brandished, action needed to be taken.

Manchester Magistrates Court approved a partial closure order at the property, which means only the resident is allowed in the flat, which will be closely monitored according to the council.

Cllr Rose Thompson, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Communities and Safety, said:

“Protecting communities from crime and antisocial behaviour is our priority and our team has worked together with partners to restore peace and calm in this area. We will continue to monitor the situation.”
