Your Housing Group has submitted an application to Trafford Planning for houses and apartments on vacant land on Tulip Road and two other small plots of land in Partington.
The scheme will have 10 cottage-style one-bedroom apartments, 8 three-bedroom semi-detached houses, and 10 two-bedroom semi-detached houses. The current proposal is to deliver 60% of the Affordable Housing as Social Rent and 40% as Shared Ownership.
A total of 43 car parking spaces have also been proposed as part of the development, along with refuse and cycle stores for the cottage-style apartments. Most of the houses will have cars parked at the front of the property. We are aware of the need for extra car parking spaces in Partington, which has caused problems for residents.
As part of any housing development, there come crime statistics and prevention ideas from the Police and Trafford Council, including the housing group, which you can see below:

In the notes with this information, it states that this is ‘All reported crimes’, so the figures shown will be more than shown but give you an idea of what is going on in Partington from 2022 to 2025.
The potential for ASB (anti-social behavior) in this area, as in many other estates, is fairly high, so high fencing will be installed where needed. Your Housing Group has identified that ‘Sector 9’, which Partington is in, has fallen through the net in past years, and due to this, ASB became a big problem for all residents in the area.
Although Partington doesn’t need any more housing to add to the chaos looming, we feel that this is a nice and well considered application which is small enough to accept.
We expect this housing development to be approved at a Planning Meeting some time this year.
