Trafford MV have 3 teams out once again this weekend as they continue to recoup our home advantage after the early season run of away fixtures.

The 1st XV will be looking to improve on recent good performances as they host near neighbours Eccles. Defence needs to a paramount as is long term concentration to close games off. If you have never been to watch a rugby match come on down for an afternoon of good sport, lively banter and a packed clubhouse.

Fielding 3 teams is a great achievement for rugby after a significant drop in playing numbers post-Covid. The Club is working hard to attract new players and continues to field the 3rd XV as a friendly rugby team for all ages and abilities.

Our 2nd XV have a great opportunity to climb the table as they host the team just one place above them Bury. The availability of players for selection is crucial to results in both the 2nd and 3rd XV’s fixtures for the rest of the season. The 3rd XV are also in a position to move up the table if they can earn a result away at Littleborough.

For non Rugby players who fancy taking their first taste we have WALKING RUGBY ion Wednesday evenings and Touch Rugby on Sat morning and Mon evening. Contact wilfdooley@virginmedia.com for any info on Rugby at TMV.

The Rugby Six Nations Championship begins next week with France vs Ireland playing the opening game on Thursday evening 5th Feb and England vs Wales on Saturday 7th Feb in the afternoon. If you would like to watch the games in a lively clubhouse with bar and food available then you are more than welcome at Trafford MV for all the big games in the Tournament.
